Please join us tonight for our Choral Music and Concert Band performances. The night will open with a student art show in the rear foyer of the Trent Campus at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7. Admission is free.
If you're an Epiphany Falcon flying off to a land far away over the holidays, please stop by the school store on the Trent Campus during school hours. These lightweight white flags are for sale for $3. We want to see how far Freddie the Falcon will travel around the world. He has already been to New York and the Dominican Republic...where will he go next? If your family is traveling, please consider bringing along a flag for a picture with Freddie. When you return, send the photo to Mrs. Ostmann. We may feature your photo on social media and in our school magazine.
Our kindergartners, first graders, and second graders prepared our hearts for the Christmas season at their concert this morning. Special thanks go to our K-2 students and Señor Delima for the wonderful songs!
Christmas is in the air! Look at all the performances coming up at Epiphany this month:
Congratulations to our new Science National Honor Society inductees! We celebrated their induction with a reception this morning.
The Fine Arts Department at Epiphany inducted 22 students into the International Thespian Society (ITS), the National Art Honor Society (NAHS), and/or Tri-M Music Honor Society today. We are so proud of these students, and encourage them to continue to pursue their artistic goals as we grow the arts at Epiphany. Congratulations to all!
You're not gonna believe the talent we'll have on display tonight at the Lower School! These students are amazing. Please join us at 6:30 p.m. in Founders Hall on the Henderson Campus. Admission is free!
Two talented Epiphany students have artwork selected to be shown at the Craven Arts Gallery and Studio (CAGS) located at 309 Middle Street in downtown New Bern. Their work will be on display from November until the end of January. A perfect time to view their work would be at ArtWalk tomorrow, November 10, from 5 to 8 P.M. The display space at CAGS was made possible through the Martha Jenkins Fund. This fund is in honor of Martha Jenkins, a former New Bern High School art teacher and is meant to help recognize talented high school students in Craven County high schools.
Christian, grade 12, has been developing his photography skills and has three of his photos on nature displayed. Paw, grade 9, is displaying an acrylic painting on the theme of peace and a torn paper-collage self-portrait. Congratulations to both of these students.

You can check out their offerings and shop online at https://p1608.paperpie.com/2562539. Based on the book fair's sales, Epiphany will receive 50% in free books!
Our students and staff were delighted to learn about the art of Flamenco this morning. Performers from Flamenco Vivo, whose mission it is to promote Flamenco as a living art form and a vital part of Hispanic heritage, presented songs, a lecture, and a dance demonstration. Our students even learned a few dance moves! The group teaches that the universal spirit of Flamenco - with diverse influences from Arab, Jewish, Roma, Spanish, African, and Latin American cultures - gives this art form a unique power to build bridges between people. Thanks to Atlantic Dance Theatre for taking the lead on bringing this talented group to our school. If you'd like to see Flamenco Vivo's performance, the group will take the stage at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Orringer Auditorium on the campus of Craven Community College. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students.
Attention Epiphany students! LAM submissions due this week.
Thank you, Friends of the Arts!
Because of the financial support of our FOTA members, we were able to invite Broadway star Thayne Jasperson back to Epiphany. Thayne is the only original cast member of "Hamilton" still performing in the show, and he's been in many other Broadway shows, television series, and movies. He starred in "Newsies," "Matilda," "So You Think You Can Dance," and "High School Musical," among many others.
Thayne visited the Henderson Campus and the Trent Campus on Monday. He taught our students a dance from "Hamilton," talked about his life as an actor, signed autographs, answered questions, and even hosted a sing-along. You can see highlights in the video above. Our students had so much fun! Most will remember it for years to come.
We are only able to offer experiences like this because of FOTA donations. Please consider becoming a member this year. The cost to join is $250, and 100% of the money will be used for the arts on both campuses. We hope to bring in more artists, dancers, actors, and musicians. These experiences can change lives.
To become a FOTA member, send a check for $250 in to Mrs. Ostmann (on the Trent Campus) or Mrs. Phelps (on the Henderson Campus). Please write FOTA in the memo line. You will be listed as a supporter of the arts at Epiphany in all of our arts performance programs. You will also receive two complimentary reserved seat tickets to see our Spring musical.
If you have any questions, please contact Dare Oliver, Coordinator of Fine Arts, at doliver@epiphanyglobalschool.org / 252-638-0122, ext. 614. Thank you for supporting our growing artists!
We had several visitors at Chapel this morning. Mr. JT Ellenberger and Srta Paola Jimenez stopped by to say hello. What a treat for students and staff!
Epiphany's Spirit Squad and Upper School Choral Music class entertained hundreds of festival goers this weekend in downtown New Bern. Thanks to the Silver Lining Singers for joining our choir for the afternoon.
Please click here to register your students in grades 1-5 for Junior Spirit: https://forms.gle/XJ2TQGtqLPLfw2oi6. The group will practice Wednesdays 3:00-4:00p, November 8-February 14 (Specific days and performances will be available via BAND after registration).
Please note the change of location for the Spirit Squad at MumFest on Saturday. The new location is inside the O'marks Building at 233 Middle Street.
New Bern Fire-Rescue visited our Lower School to remind students about fire safety and prevention. Students watched an interactive puppet show and clown skit and played an online Kahoot! Game to review safety facts. Be sure to ask our students what they learned about fire safety!
